Title:    Driving User Adoption for BI and Business Analytics Solutions


As we all know, a strong, foundational approach to Business Intelligence will support a broad range of information capabilities in an organization.  While we often start with some basic reports and dashboards, there will come a point when the Business Intelligence assets can be leveraged to deliver on more advanced capabilities such as analytics or predictive modeling.  In this case, we need to be considerate of how an organization can be positioned to be successful and reach a broad audience.  This presentation will provide an overview of some of the current ideas and approaches used by organizations to support the adoption and evolution of Business Intelligence capabilities.  This will include:

  • Cultural change
  • Communities of practice
  • Business Intelligence Competency Centers
  • Utilizing multiple BI technologies

He has held leadership positions in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Canada. Rob Meyer is the Senior Director of Product Marketing of the Data Integration Business Unit at Informatica. He is responsible for all go-to-market activities for Informatica’s core data integration products including PowerCenter, PowerExchange, Metadata Manager and Data Services. Rob has worked for nearly twenty years in marketing, product management and engineering on business intelligence, integration, messaging and SOA technologies at startups and larger companies including Hyperion, Microsoft, Oracle and TIBCO.

Title:    How to effectively manage mobility data through new and evolving analytics initiatives.


A discussion on Mobility ecosystem trends, the proliferation of data as a result, and the need to effectively manage this data through new and evolving analytics initiatives. Second half would be a case study of a current telecom client who is looking to monetize LBS (Location Based Services) and M2M (Machine to Machine) data with B2C (Business to Customer) and B2E (Business to Employee) clients.

Over the past fifteen years, Andrew has worked with large North American energy, banking, telecom, manufacturing and defense firms, as well as federal and municipal governments in general strategy/technology consulting, process design and system implementations.  Andrew managed the  implementation of large scale  mainframe  and distributed based system implementations at Bank of America, Wachovia, Citi Bank, and Wells Fargo for more than 5 years.

Andrew also ran a national consulting practice at a large carrier where he was involved with strategy development and intricate system design for wireless networks (P2P and P2MP, public and private), mobility cost management, applications development, customer experience management, middleware and backend integration, process enablement and risk governance for Fortune 50 Clients.

Andrew’s main focus is to help clients with properly designed and implemented mobility strategies to transform a firm’s customer experience, bottom line and operational efficiencies.

Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
